Hello and up for auction today is our 2018 Coachmen Chaparral 336TSIK and this is a great opportunity to get 2018 5th wheel at a nice discount!
This is 37" long with a rear flip down storage shelf that you can put bikes, generators, small motorcycles, etc on plus a rear ladder for easy access to the roof if you want to put solar panels or use it as storage as the top is 100% walkable. I believe the empty weight of this is around 11K lbs, gross vehicle weight is in the 13K lb range.
We have used this on a 3 month journey so I know the rig very well. Being a 2018 you would expect everything to work as it should and it does! This is equipped with dual A/C which work perfectly (and actually have little use as we were in cooler climates for a lot of the trip) as does the furnace which easily heats the entire trailer in minutes. We hit the 20s when up in Banff, Canada and were toasty warm!
This has a floorpan that puts the main bedroom in the front, full bathroom w/ glass door stand up shower (not a tiny bathroom like some have, this has room to move), kitchen in the middle with center island/double sink and stainless steel 4 door refrigerator/freezer and seating towards the back and side that is the living area. Rear couch converts into a cozy bedroom, two recliners are theatre seating with cupholders and console for remotes. Opposite the island/fridge is the dining area.
Excellent layout that offers up a lot of room as 5th wheels generally do, with 3 slides and 2 being super slides this one opens up to easily livable proportions even with 4 people onboard.
Outdoor shower makes cleaning yourself or a furry companion easy!
Features include 2 flat screen tvs (1 in living room, 1 in the bedroom), pantry in the kitchen that holds an enormous amount of goodies, stainless microwave with hood/fan, a fireplace place that is electric with on/off switch if you want heat which comes in handy when the propane runs out in the middle of a cold night (um, yeah that"s something I may have done :) LED lights throughout to extend battery life, kitchen vent fan w/ rain sensor, ceiling fan and more storage than you will ever need!
Exterior is a gel coat finish that looks great (though i did put a couple scratches from low lying limbs that are impossible to see) and it comes with an power awning that makes outdoor living a breeze!
Front and rear stabilizers make leveling as easy as a touch of a button.
I"d say we have put about 6-7 thousand miles on it, the tires are nitrogen filled and still like new.
In all this is a great rig but even though it is a 2018 it is not new.
The biggest negative thing I can say about the rig is that I bought it after the first owners, who are not the brightest stars in the sky, put a couple smores sticks that were not quite fully extinguished into a cardboard box with crumpled paper under the kitchen island sink which eventually ignited and scorched one side of the island. The top left side of the island counter has minor damage on the lip and the surface is a little indented from heat. The floor around the base of the island had a little damage as well but basically everything has been fixed (not perfect but not really noticeable unless you look).
As mentioned there are a couple scrapes high on the right side and just normal wear you"d expect after a 3 month journey.
