Vehicle description
For sale is a well cared for 2018 Aliner Scout parks edition pop-up hard side camper. We purchased this camper new in April of 2018 and have been the sole owners. My family has very much enjoyed this camper but it is time to move on to another model. I estimate the camper has about 5000 miles on it over the last 3 years. The camper has been stored in the open position in our garage when not in use so its outdoor exposure is limited to our camping trips which I would estimate at about 50 nights total. The camper is very light and easy to tow. I had it weighed at 1700 lbs including our camping gear. Our tow vehicle was a 3.5L v6 Honda Odyssey minivan and it was a relaxing drive.Below I will describe the base configuration of the camper as well as the upgrades we have made which will be included in the sale.2018 ALINER SCOUT PARKS EDITION BASE CONFIGURATION:-Rear sofa bed that converts to a full size bed-Front dinette that converts to a 46" x 76" bed-Sink with city water hookup-30amp electrical hookup with 3 interior 110v outlets-Built in AC-Battery with charge controller and 12v Fantastic fan and lights-Exterior solar panel connection-110v 2.7 cubic foot refrigerator with freezer-2 stabilizer jacks-Electronic trailer brakesUPGRADES WE HAVE MADE INCLUDED WITH CAMPER:-1000 watt pure sine inverter to power refrigerator and other small appliances-120v relay to automatically switch between shore power and inverter power-Built in microwave-Built in USB charging ports-Interior 7gal water tank with water pump and gray water tank-Front toolbox with lockA little more detail on the upgrades and why we made them:WATER SYSTEM: The Aliner Scout parks edition comes with a city water connection for connecting the sink to the water hookups at a campground. The sink drains to the exterior of the camper where you would likely need to connect some type of gray water tank as most campgrounds do not allow you to discharge waste water to the ground. Personally I found connection of the campground water connection and exterior gray water tank a chore, and it also did not allow us to use the sink when traveling or when boon docking (camping without hookups). To remedy this I installed a 7 gal portable water tank and 12v pump and a portable gray water tank under the rear bed. It is easy to fill the water tank before leaving for your trip and easy to empty the gray water tank when you return. It is also very easy to switch between the inside tanks and the outside connections should you needs change.ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: The stock Aliner Scout refrigerator is 120v only, meaning the camper has to be plugged in at your home or at a campground to function. We wanted to load in our food at home and take with us in the fridge so I installed a power inverter to power the fridge from the camper battery when we were driving. You can also operate small appliances with the inverter if you do not have power available at your campsite or if you want to stop and use the camper to heat up a meal during your travels. There is also a 120v relay that will automatically switch the refrigerator and kitchen side outlets between the outside shore power connection and the inverter. The inverter is located in the front toolbox and can be turned on there or via the remote keypad located next to the sink.STORAGE ACCESS: There is a ton of storage under the rear couch and front benches in the Aliner but in the stock configuration they are cumbersome to access. I modified the rear bed platform to make it easier to access this space and also removed the side panel on the passenger side dinette bench so that you can access the space without moving the cushions. This space is a great size to store a portable bathroom if you would like to add one to the camper.Hoping this camper brings another family as much joy as it brought us. I am available to give the new owner a full demonstration on the camper and its features. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. Thanks for your interest.
