Vehicle description
What is Galvanized?
Galvanization is the process of immersing steel in a bath of liquid zinc to produce a corrosion resistant, multi-layered coating of zinc-iron alloy and zinc metal. The coating is produced as the result of a metallurgical reaction between the liquid zinc and the iron in the steel. The coating forms an equal thickness on all surfaces immersed in the galvanizing "kettle".
The galvanization process creates alloy layers that are far stronger than the underlying steel to improve resistance to mechanical damage during use. Galvanization corrodes preferentially to steel, which eliminates the need to touch up small damaged areas on the trailer.
-Superior long life rust protection. -Greatly reduced rate of weathering. -Total coverage to the trailer frame and undercarriage. -Increased resistance to surface damage
