* This is a front wheel drive van, gas. We build with these RAM models due to the costs of repairing diesels and the continuing issues with EGR valves (on many van models the are a 4- 6 of them!) It costs thousands to repair these and is not good for the life of the engine.
* As for mobility in snow we have driven our vans through snow, they have seen ice, winter storms in western US as well as New England. We have even lived in one in weather under 20 degrees- they are well insulated! With snow tires and chains they are extremely capable of road travel in all seasons. UNLESS you plan to do some serious backcountry/offroading, the Ram front wheel drive vans are an excellent choice.
