Vehicle description
About 90 % of the parts needed to complete are included. Most are brand new, except for the heater, refrigerator and stove top. These items came out of a camper: all were working when removed. The trailer was professionally welded, made of new 3" box and 3" channel steel and is well braced. Tires, wheels, fenders, paint for fenders, 3500 lb axle, hubs, bearings and brakes are brand new. The trailer alone cost about $1000. The flooring is particle board, covered by an old homemade boat system (put a heavy coat of exterior paint on all sides, then a layer of fabric, then several more layers of paint). This provides a proven method of seal against moisture.
The bed area is about 80"X 50". The trailer is rough wired and open if you want to change. All storage areas are already built in, including cabinet for refrigerator, A/C, heater etc. . Some of the other items included are all new: spare tire and wheel, microwave oven, air conditioner (mounted on slider), TV, radio, water tanks, water pump, all new windows, plywood for the roof, rubber roofing with glues, two gallons of Silkens Prolux wood finish (cedar 007) , all lights running and interior, 30 AMP power convertor, propane tanks and holder, roof vents, a roll of breathable fabric for covering under the exterior siding and a number of other items. I have about $4000 to $4500 with many receipts invested in this trailer, not counting my hours of labor. I have built many homes during my life and this was another project for my retirement years. The trailer was being built as a hunting, fishing trailer to be taken over rough roads and could be used away from hook ups.
This has been a good project, always inside a shop out of the weather, but due to health I am unable
to finish.
Note: Some of the items you would need to provide are the exterior siding, entry door, and some smaller items. Some welding will be required for entry steps, rear jacks, propane tank and holder.
The trailer wood frame is made from hand picked 2X4"s cut to 1"X 1 1/2" Some joints are glued and stapled. All joints are stapled.
You will need a large trailer or flat bed truck, (or a one day move permit, as this is a homemade project and since not finished, no Vin# or license.) The frame of trailer is 83 1/2" wide and about 14" long. Paved roads to property south of Pueblo, Co.
