NEVER DRIVEN / NEVER RACED / NEVER MOVED The Ford Mustang Cobra Jet is a factory-built race car that is legal for National Hot Rod Association Stock and Super Stock drag racing and was limited to a mere 50 units - making the 2016 edition among the most collectible Mustangs ever. Drag racing requires serious horsepower. Ford Racing engineers delivered with a blown 5.0 liter V8 featuring a beautiful black Whipple 2.9L supercharger under the hood to take on any challengers at the track. The 2016 Cobra Jet also has such enhancements as drag race-specific coil-over shocks and springs, lightweight racing brakes by Strange Engineering, 8.50-certified roll cage, Aeromotive fuel system with trunk-mounted fuel cell, Corbeau FIA seats, five-point race harnesses and a race-prepped automatic transmission. Ford Racing engineers put in serious overtime to ensure the success of the Cobra Jet on the drag strip. The "Coyote" engine was fitted with a Ford electric water pump that allows cool-down without the engine running. The result is more consistent results at the drag strip thanks to improved management of engine temperature. Further developmental efforts included intense dyno testing sessions that simulated drag strip burnouts and quarter-mile runs was to prove the Cobra Jet"s system durability. Of the 50 assembled for 2016 this is just one of the 25 offered in Oxford White. Never raced and properly cared for in a prominent collection this Cobra Jet is in brand-new condition.
