Vehicle description

2016 Aistream Flying Cloud 23FB. Trailer is beautiful. Used in excellent condition, very clean. One non-smoking owner. Factory options are shown on the window sticker in photo section. Floor plan is also posted in pics. Purchased new in late Septmber of 2016 and used for 3 seasons (2017-2019). Dry weight is 4806 lbs, GVWR is 6,000 lbs, hitch weight is 467 lbs. Trailer is lightweight, functional and a well mannered tow vehicle. Everything works and has been well maintained. LED"s throughout, some dimmable. Exceptional storage for it"s size - 2 wardrobe closets, large overhead storage cabinets over the bed, dinette table and kitchen. Full underbed storage, including two 56 qt storage bins (not pictured), storage under dinette seats, a sliding pantry cabinet and under sink storage in kitchen & bath. There is an exterior storage compartment on the passenger side which fits all hoses, power cords, accessories, etc. There is storage in the rear bumber and also a separate septic hose storage tube mounted on the undercarriage. AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth, Pandora & SiriurXM ready Clarion M303 tuner, Sub-woofer, USB/Blu-Ray player. Leather dinette seating converts to bed (approx. 39" X 75" pictured). The AC/Heat Pump unit was just replaced on 6/22/20. Axle bearings were re-packed in August, 2019. All manuals/guides/receipts included.
There are several upgrades:
Microwave is an upgraded "microwave, grill & bake" unit, although only ever used as a microwave. Upgraded Lippert 3,500 lb. power jack replaced the 3,000 lb. Atwood jack in July, 2019. For better performance in dry camping the 12 volt batteries were replaced in June, 2019 by two new six volt batteries in series for longer amp hours. A Parallax TempAssure Wireless Upgrade kit was also added at that time to the 55 amp Parallax power converter to provide more efficient battery charging and longer battery life. These improvemtents were made after much research. Quiet AquaJet variable speed 3.4 GPM replaced the cheaper factory water pump in April 2019. Trailer came with 14" tires and rims from the factory. In August, 2019, all tires and spare were replaced with 5 new Michelin Defender 235/75 R-15 tires on 5 new Sendel aluminum 15" X 6" rims at a cost of approx. $1,400, for better towing & tire performance and increased ground clearance (see pic of original spare compared to new Michelin tire). I also did a lot of research before making this change and was advised by the Airstream factory that I could go to 16" rims, but I could only go up to 15" rims with the 5 bolt pattern & correct weight rating. Current tire & rim weight ratings far exceed the originals and spare is on a matching aluminum rim, not steel. Only one long trip taken with the new tires (approx 5,00 miles). While checking the systems prior to sale, I noticed a broken FM antenna (still receives signal) and the USB port near the radio not working. I have a new antenna and upgraded quick charge 3.0 dual USB charger arriving on 7/1, which will be installed and working prior to the close of the auction.
Here are the blemishes as best that I know them. Airstream exterior aluminum is fairly lightweight and dents pretty easily. You can see two small dents in the two pics of the rear of the camper. One on the driver side and one on the passenger side, both near the roof. They are small. There are a few dings in the stainless steel rock guards up front that don"t even appear in pics. The guards do their job protecting the aluminum in the front from road debris. Overall as you can see from the pics, the body looks like new. Also the plexiglass guard in front of the front window was impacted by a stone which created a chip and small spiderweb pattern (see final pic). Unlike automotive glass, the plexiglass damage has not spread with changing weather or time. This chip is almost invisible from the outside, but is noticable when looking out from the inside. I checked a few vendors and the OEM piece is upward of $800, although I suspect a local glass shop could replace it with Lexan as a possible cheaper alternative. I did not pursue it, especially with most plexiglass going elsewhere right now. I wasn"t going to spend over $800 on a purely cosmetic issue, the guard is still completely functional. Also there are three or four dings on the flooring where items were dropped, no tears or other damage, just small dents. After the first couple of uses, we resolved this problem by using throw rugs/runners to protect the floor, and there was no further denting. The interior finish is also in excellent condition, with a couple of scuffs near the far side of the base of the bed and also a scuff where the toilet lid rests against the wall when the lid is up. They are all very minor and overall the interior is really gorgeous. We just replaced this trailer with a 30" box trailer with slide-out due to taking longer and longer trips and needing more room, but I am very disappointed in the huge differences in standard features, quality, elegance and definitely storage in the new trailer, no comparison. Airstream excels in providing a very unique, classy and well designed trailer. We constantly notice passing motorists checking out, pointing at and/or taking pictures of the trailer on the road, and many, many people have approached us in campgrounds asking about the rig. We have very often been the only Airstream in the campground. It"s very much like owning a classic car. Airstream has produced pure Americana since the 1920"s and they hold their value. Not interested in trades of any kind or any unusual payment methods or offers. I will remain in the auction unless I receive a "buy it now" offer. I took approx. 70 pics, but limits the posting to 24. If you have questions, want to see other pics, or want to come see the trailer, please contact me. I will do my best to provide a prompt response. Serious inquiries please. If using the "Escrow.com" option, I agree to split the escrow fee with the buyer 50/50.
