Vehicle description
This is a great family trailer with lots of capability in a modest sized package. Our kids have grown up, and we no longer need the bunk beds. If you are looking for a well taken care of and clean family trailer with a lot of capability, yet sized right to fit into smaller sites such as what might be found in national parks, this is your trailer.
Description
This trailer, 26"10", includes a murphy bed in the front that folds down for use, and in the up position exposes a folding couch. There is additional storage underneath the couch. There is a folding dinette in the kitchen, and double-sized bunks in the rear with a 600lb capacity. On one trip four kids were happily using the bunks. The bathroom sink is outside of the bathroom, which helps speed up bedtime for the kids. Inside the bathroom is a porcelain toilet and a bathtub/shower combo. On the shower head we installed an easy to use shower flow valve (sailor showers). In the kitchen there is the standard 2-basin sink with pull out faucet, 3-burner stove top, and gas oven. An additional upgrade shortly after purchasing the trailer was to install a higher flow propane regulator. With this, the stove top and outside BBQ both perform much better. As ordered this trailer has a very unique 80 gallon fresh water tank, which is awesome for dry camping. The black and grey tanks are 39-gallons each. The radio is blue-tooth capable, with speakers both inside and outside of the the trailer on separate channels. On the rear of the trailer is an outside storage compartment that resides underneath the bottom bunk. On the exterior, the first upgrade was to change the CH751 locks (which every RVer in America has a key to) to a keyed lock that matches the front door. Most noticeable from the outside, this trailer has frame-less windows, which give it a clean and contemporary look. On the outside shower we upgraded the hose/handle and shower-head for convenience and greater flow. In addition, there is also an auxiliary propane connection that can be used for an outside grill (grill not included). Finally, we have installed an Arvika bicycle rack that is mounted to the tongue on the front of the trailer.
This trailer includes the "Elite Package", which comes with an 80-gallon fresh water tank, black-tank flush, porcelain toilet, rear-ladder, skylight in kitchen, kitchen faucet w/ pull out sprayer, MOR/ryde suspension, electric tongue jack, and more. It also includes the Thermal Package with additional cold weather / under-body insulation. Upgrades:
Re-Keyed CH751 locks. Like just about every trailer in America, this one came with CH751 locks on the cargo doors from the factory. The first upgrade made was to install new locks on the cargo doors and outside shower that matched the front door key - better security, and just one key to keep track of. Water Pump silencing kit. This upgrade greatly reduces the noise / vibration generated by the water pump while in use. New / higher capacity tires. In later 2019 we replaced the stock tires with Goodyear Endurance tires, both increasing their load capacity and adding a large safety margin with a much better speed rating (87mph vs 65mph). When not being used, the tires are covered with tire protectors, which guard against UV damage / cracking. Golf Cart Batteries. An additional upgrade was the replacement of the stock battery with 2x Golf Cart batteries, greatly increasing battery capacity. USB Charger & Voltmeter in kitchen cabinet with on/off switch. Propane Regulator upgraded to higher flow unit. Stove top and BBQ both heat much better. Easy to use shower flow control valve (for those sailor showers) Replacement of outside shower head for greater flow and convenience (type that is used in laundry room sink) Replaced the stock sewer drain cap w/ one that includes a grey-only attachment. Easily drain just the grey water when camping w/o hookups. Tongue mounted bike rack. This is an Arvika bike rack that can be easily removed from the trailer if not needed, or kept in place for use. It holds up to three Bicycles in place elevated over the trailer batteries. The great part here is that the bicycles are visible from the tow vehicle, so there is never a question as to whether they are still present or not. Replaced the emergency break-away cable with a coil-type that stays out of the way (no more accidentally engaging the brakes because the cable got in the way).
Maintenance Items
Wheel bearings were re-packed in 2018. New US Battery Golf Cart Batteries in 2018 Tires upgraded to GoodYear Endurance load range D in 2019 (up from load-range C, 87mph speed rating).
Problems There are a few problem areas that I do know of, mentioned below.
Awning - fully functional, the underside has some stains on it. It was rolled up once when not fully dry, and the present stains are the result. Power tongue jack - again does its job w/o issue. There is a light on the jack though that does not currently work. I am pretty sure the switch for the light was disconnected when the toggle switch for the jack was replaced.
