About the Builder:
Hi! My name is Kensie, and I’m the owner and founder of Dame Van Company in Bend, OR. I got started in the “van life” scene myself in the fall of 2018, and lived in my 2010 Sprinter full-time for two years while traveling the west coast of the US and the Baja peninsula. I didn’t know at the time that this would turn into a career for me, but as much as I love time spent on the road, I am equally passionate about building them to provide other people the opportunity for adventure.
I’ve been doing custom van builds since 2019, and building completely solo since the summer of 2020. I specialize in Mercedes Sprinters, and focus on using the highest quality materials. I am constantly refining my process, material choices, and components to produce an end product that is functional, user-friendly, and aesthetic. Each van is better than the last, and I intend to continue improving indefinitely. After living in a van myself, I know the ins and outs of what’s needed to make life on the road as comfortable as possible.
Everything I build is done by hand with a lot of love, care, and attention to detail. While I’ve been a one woman show for the last year, I am excited to start growing this year and establishing myself as one of the very few women owned and operated van conversion companies.
