Vehicle description
It"s come time to sell my off road trailer. I had this custom built for me back in 2015. We used it pretty often and then decided to get a large van and migrate everything over to the van. Now that we use the van for all of our traveling, there is no reason for the trailer.
The front cargo area is covered with 3/4" #9 expanded metal as well as the side storage areas. The rear axle is a 3500 pound, 61" axle. The rear axle is held by leaf springs (3 leafs, 1/4"). The trailer is non-titled and it has a 1,080 lb. dry weight. All the welds are done amazing and all the metal work is extremely heavy duty.
The top of the trailer has a 6 inch ridge all the way around in case you wanted to sleep on top and not worry about rolling off the sides. And the top uses some shocks to lift it up and open. They are old and need to be replaced, though. The rear opens as a bed of a truck does.
I have it wired up for tailights and side marker lights. It also has backup LED lights. These lights are wired into a battery with a small solar panel on it. So those LED lights can be turned on whenever you want- even when not hooked up to the vehicle. The electrical for the trailer is a 9 pin connector (pictured).
These typically go in the $6000-$7000 range so this is a really good deal. Dimensions and pictures are pretty detailed but ask me for anything that you might still have questions on.
