Vehicle description

2014 Teardrop Trailer Kompact Kamp 5 Wide Camper Trailer This is a Kompact Kamp built 5’-Wide teardrop camper trailer. It’s all sleeping room and storage – no galley. (Kompact Kamp is a Myerstown, PA manufacturer with 25+ years’ experience making motorcycle trailers, who, for a few years, was making teardrop trailers.) If you haven’t owned a teardrop camper, you’ll find that a lot of campgrounds treat them like tents – so your expenses can be lower, and it’s easy to “boondock” at sites with few or no services. Some people even use them to travel and stay at remote job sites instead of using hotels. You can also join other teardrop trailer owners, and owners of “squaredrops,” like Runaway and Hiker campers, on Facebook to see what they’ve done with theirs and go to their camp rallies. It’s a great, flexible way to travel. You have your own, off the ground “shell” that feels safer to sleep in, shields you from the weather, provides better privacy than a tent, and keeps you off the ground from critters in the night. We’ve had a lot of fun with this trailer. Now it’s your turn. Here’s what you’ll get: · A very clean, well-cared for teardrop camper trailer with a clean title. · Always garage kept. No rust. No smoking. No pets. · Vehicle weight: 500 lb. Tows easily with our ‘07 Toyota Matrix/Corolla. · 2-inch ball coupler, flat 4 connection. · 13-inch tires/wheels with “moon” hub caps. · Bearing Buddy hub protectors. · Wire shielding added underneath to protect from mice, dirt and etc. · Comes with Camco block levelers (like oversized Legos) – for those uneven sites. · Eyebolts added to the top exterior corners (all well sealed from water) to accommodate tarps over the doorways, clothesline and etc. · Interior electric (standard 110 AC) ending in a multi-outlet power bar. · Tail and side lights and rear reflective stickers for safety. · Crank open ceiling vent with screen. · A-Frame tongue with jack welded into the frame. There is room on the tongue to add things like bike racks or a storage box (not included). Also included are square brackets that fit the tongue frame. · I changed out the smaller, plastic jack-wheel to a bigger, air-tire type. It makes it much easier to move the trailer around in a campsite. You’ll get both. · Two doors with locks, windows and screens. (Great for not crawling over your partner when going to bed, in the middle of the night, or in the morning.) · Has storage at the foot of the bed area, plus interior storage cabinets above. · Pull-up venetian-style window blinds, for privacy, on both doors/windows. · Interior cup holders, wall clock, hooks for keys, flashlights, etc. and battery operated “pop lights.” · Air conditioning! Included is a (free) 5000 BTU air conditioner that inserts into a custom hard-foam door template (this worked great in very humid summer camping). You also get the plastic collapsible shelf that holds the A/C unit. This is a flexible, as-needed system where you only carry the weight of the A/C unit when you need it. · Queen sized 60-inch by 80-inch, custom covered, 3 part bed mattress which also converts into a seat. · Foam floor mats that go under the mattresses – just to keep the floor clean – and a nice surface for kids to play on. Clean black & white vinyl checkered floor underneath. · You also get an Oz-Tent RV5 Deluxe Screen Room as a convenient side tent. It’s a fun little teardrop camper trailer, pretty much in excellent condition (except for the scratches as seen in the photos – from removing stickers. Now you can add your own stickers!). We had fun with it and I’m sure you will too. Bid now, or better yet, hit the But It Now button, so you’re ready for the season. Winter (and this trailer) won’t last long! Best of Luck!
