Vehicle description

Thanks for looking at our 2014 Ram Promaster RV Camper. This van was a cargo van belonging to a cross country delivery company located in Ft. Wayne,Indiana. (Company name available upon request) The van was used primarily for cross country shipping of special small quantity items hence the higher miles for the year. The owner informed me that around 220K the driver overheated the engine in California and the van received a $6000 engine. I purchased the van in 2017 with 292K after they had a minor accident. The van needed a transmission as it was still driveable but with problems. I installed a used transmission with 32,000 miles on it and have driven 20,000 miles since with no problems.Total miles on the powertrain is still under 100,000 miles. The van is fairly fancy for a delivery unit as it wasn"t the typical white unit and it has alloy rims, power windows and locks, cruise control, and a bluetooth AM/FM CD player. I purchased the van to convert to an RV which I did in 2017. It has lots of cabinet space, a built in closet, an RV queen short bed, TV, microwave, 2 burner propane stove, roof air conditioning, bath with toilet-sink-shower, an on demand water heater, on board 20 gallon water storage plus hookup for city water use. The van is wired for 12 volt or 120 volt shore power. The van also has a 3500 Watt portable gas generator and a powered roof vent. We used the van in August 2017 to travel from our home in southern New Mexico to Wyoming for the total solar eclipse. Great event. From there we went north to Canada and traveled the Ice Field Parkway which my wife had never seen. Coming back we saw Glacier National Park and Yellowstone. 5000 mile trip pulling a 2 bike motorcycle trailer with 2 bikes. The trip was great and so was the fuel economy-16.4 MPG average for the entire trip. Still enough power to pull our Colorado pickup too. We have camped over most of New Mexico in the time since and the van has proved to be quite enjoyable and very handy as it can maneuver in all kinds of remote areas that a bigger motor home wouldn"t be able to go. Unfortunately with age my 70 year old wife has found it increasingly difficult to use the queen bed as it raises up for daily use and lowers at night with an access height of around 4 feet which requires a 3 step ladder. Her balance is failing and this has become a problem. I have purchased a long chassis Ford Transit now and converted it in similar fashion with the exception of 30" floor mounted single beds on each side, something she can handle well. The trip goes on! The health issue is the only reason for sale of this van as the mechanical condition is very good and the body condition of it is good except for the damage to the drivers door that remains from the accident the first owner had. One of my pictures shows the drivers door. There are a couple of other minor dents on the body but they are too small to show in a phone based photo. I am a mechanic and have done all required services on the van using synthetic oils and good filters. I had to change a lower left ball joint and a leaking right front strut. Nothing major except the transmission swap. The tires are 10 ply with 60% tread remaining. This is a fixed price sale at $12,500. This is the amount I have invested in the van. Doesn"t represent the 400+ hours of time that I invested in the conversion. New Ram conversions start around $100K so step up to a nice unit for a small fraction of the price. SAME FUN. Thanks again for looking. $500 deposit required within 24 hours of your purchase and the balance to be paid as described. If you choose to fly into El Paso I can pick you up so you can drive home.
