This luxury, but affordable tag axle diesel pusher just took us on a trouble-free 15-month tour of the USA and Canada and now"s the time to let someone else enjoy it as we did. We also have our tow car for sale - a very reliable and comfortable 2014 Ford Edge SEL with the Air Force One proportional braking system and a Blue Ox baseplate and tow bar for $17,000 (64,000 miles).
The coach is in excellent mechanical condition and has a transferable warranty good until 2019. It was full serviced (including generator) this month by Freightliner in Gaffney, SC where annual maintenance was performed, including the generator. Front end was aligned and wheels balanced. We replaced all 8 tires in March of this year with OEM Michelins ($5,100) and in July we replaced all 6 OEM AGM batteries ($1,500).
We are pricing the coach reasonably, remembering when we were looking how much we disliked dealing with ridiculously high asking prices and the subsequent back and forth dickering trying to get to the "real" price.
Major features of this all-electric coach include a forward living room with the entertainment center, a kitchen/dining room with a half bath, and a master bedroom with a king size bed that can be closed off with a full sliding door. The bedroom has lots of storage, another TV, and a ceiling fan. The full bath has a separate washer and dryer and a good size shower (I"m 6"2" and I still have a little headroom left over). The layout of the 42QD (the exact twin and manufacturer of the Winnebago Tour) gave us the "feel" of a separate kitchen and living room - high on our list.
It"s a very comfortable and logical coach to travel in, especially if you plan to take extended trips. The coach does have a couple of extras worth mentioning: custom exterior sun shades for all the windows (that proved to be REALLY helpful in the desert SW), Tyron run flat system for the front tires, Wingard rooftop satellite receiver (set up for HD Dish), a basement freezer for extra storage, and it comes with all electrical adapters, hoses, ladders, etc.
NOTE: Last November, I made grazed a pole while pulling in for fuel at a truck stop. I had to have two cargo doors and frames replaced. The work was done at the National Indoor RV Center in Atlanta with factory original parts supplied by the Winnebago factory. Deemed "better that factory" condition.
