The King Bed has a new mattress and provides plentyof underbed storage. There is a built-in side table with storage on one sideand a full wardrobe closet at the foot of the bed. The large slide-out expandsthe bedroom and kitchen. The kitchen has a largerefrigerator which works well using either propane or electric. The counter spaceand above average sink make food preparation easy. Plenty of overhead storagewith lots of room under sink and in a full height slide-in pantry next to the ‘fridge. Cooking is done using amicrowave oven, stove top (3-burner), and oven. All appliances work well. Wehave baked cakes, lasagna, and done a number of meals in the stove. All burnerswork well. The microwave has individual items choices along with the ability toprogram for reheat, defrost, and cook settings. A large adult-capable bunkdrops down from the ceiling over the driver’s area. In the up position there isroom to stand up when entering or existing the driver or passenger seat. In thedown position you can still enter and exit the seats, but you’ll need to stoop todo so. Most bunks of this type are rated for 220 pounds, this one was upgradedto fit adults up to 330 pounds. New Repairs andUpgrades There are a few things inalmost every motorhome that could be better even when new. We took the time andmoney to upgrade a few of these items, and the overall usability of the coachis greatly improved. Here is a partial list of the work we have had doneprofessionally (receipts available). 1. Shower floor/panreplaced with ceramic tile of the quality used in many luxury homes. The showerpans are notoriously thin from the manufacturer, so we upgraded the systembefore there was a hint of a problem. Upgrade includes new ¾” plywoodsubstructure, replacement of underlayment (using residential grade cement boardrather than thin plastic) and improved the connection/strength of the drain.Add to this the true ceramic tile, which is much thicker, feels better, andlooks a lot better than the flimsy plastic that comes from the manufacturer. 2. Furnace has allnew fan, motor, and upgraded hardware including the thermostats and processor. Wealso upgraded two of the switches that control fan speed and on/off for the heatingunit. 3. We addedstructural support under the bed to accommodate heavier adults. We also added abetter mattress. 4. We have replacedthe curtains in the front of the coach. The original curtains were simply fadedfrom the sun. 5. We have alsoadded new upholstery covers for the dinette and driver/passenger seat. Thesehad that horrible “pleather” covering much like that seen on bad office chairs.It got old enough that it was cracking and peeling.
