Amazing go anywhere road trip vehicle - with full queen sized bed in back, marine toilet, kitchen, sleeps 4+, solar panels. Its got it all!
This is the Long Body Sprinter, 24 feet long, 2012 with ~31,000 miles on it. It has dual rear wheels, it is the Sprinter 3500.
Custom conversion was done by the pros at SportsMobile. They have decades of experience and are one of only a few official master Up-fitters for Mercedes.
Rear cabin seat-belted seating for 6, plus 2 side facing seat belted seats up closer to the drivers, and then the front cabin seats (which can swivel around when in a campground). So - seat-belts for 10 total passengers. Yes! Its a road trip/party bus!
And - to keep the drive short without bathroom breaks, the marine toilet can be used while driving. .so no need to stop for little bladders! It is a class B RV, so I believe technically, rear of the driver cabin, you don"t have to always be in seatbelts. In fact, we have perfected cooking while driving and end up being stewards/stewardesses for driver/passengers. .
The vehicle is well maintained, has all new tires (~3k miles ago), and 2 new AGM aux batteries. Aux air conditioner works off a second inverter, so the cabin in back can stay cool (or warm) while driving, no generator needed.
With solar panels, we have camped for days "off grid". We finished a multi-day bike ride and on return to the van the huge fridge was full of cold drinks, and the ice was still solid.
No need to be limited to KOA/RV parks, go "dry camping" anywhere on BLM land, or stealth camping in urban areas. .no limits!
There is a 26.5 gallon fresh water tank, and separate grey water and black water tanks. There is a marine toilet. It is mush better than unstable porta-potties. The stove top is propane.
There is an AV system that includes satelite radio, subwoofer, garmin nav system, and a DVD player with additional monitor in back for passengers while riding.
There is a 2" receiver hitch in back.
There is an Aluminess roof rack with ladder for luggage/toys on top.
For ventillation, there are "awning" windows, and when parked there are screens for the slider and rear windows and a ceiling "fantastic" fan.
And the awning that rolls out on the passenger/slider side is great!
For insulation and privacy there are built in blinds, and some actic/insulated additional blinds.
Yup - it has been an amazing vehicle for us. We have been some amazing places, camped off grid, on-grid. .so many adventures with it. We will be sad to say good-by to the van, but hope there is an adventurous individual or family who are looking for the ultimate vehicle!
