(underneath for less bug attraction) Pintle Hitch w/Break Away BRAKE (comes with trailer adapter for use with your pickup truck) 3 point stabilization with rear jacks in place.(you can jump up and down with no trailer movement) Multiple propane hookup locations.
We built this trailer for extended stay mining / hunting trips . This Trailer Camper TOWS LIKE A DREAM. I have a Chevy 3/4 ton z71 . .i forget its back there! ! ! I also have towed with my new 2wd stock stickshift
CHEVY COLORADO It handled well and i even took it offroad for a bit.
We have hauled this camper down the most unforgiving roads . . .it works outstanding and the pintle hitch helps in some places where a ball hitch would not survive. Even with the 40 gallon water tank its angle of approach and departure is better than that of a JEEP. This is not a camper for thoes who are looking for something brand new ,it will require some upkeep and basic knowledge of how things work in a camper,like how to set up and point the direct t.v. dish. .how you need to start your fridge a day or so early. occasionally how to prime the water pump. . OFF ROAD TRAILERS TAKE A BEATING . .(THINGS HAPPEN) . . .Loading it properly is important otherwise things go flying when its taken off-road ruts, rocks and bumps can cause the trailer to swing wildly causing extreme g forces. .securing and loading your gear is important. WE haven"t used it too much maybe 15 trips or so . 3 years . we have hauled it from California to Arizona & Idaho WE purchased it from a military auction.(it had a broken zipper and a HQ label on it) And we built the rest by hand.
WE installed a rear door with set of rear struts. .and all you see in the pictures.
This is a great camper ,when WE TOOK IT TO THE LOCAL BEACH CAMPGROUNDS everyone in the campgrounds wants to check it out and ask questions (its usually the hit of the place) WE HAVE HAD PEOPLE ASK US TO PULL OVER on the freeway. SO THEY COULD SEE INSIDE. .it is extremely unique. IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A OFF ROAD TRAILER WITH EVERYTHING . .THIS IS IT.
This camper is hand made it will require some upkeep ,we were going to paint the inside and do some other repairs but have decided to sell it like it is. READY TO GO CAMPING. .
