This is a very rare, custom-built trailer based on the best features of my previous Featherlite, Trailex and Tommy"s aluminum car trailers - and it only weighs an astonishing 1,900 pounds. I ordered this trailer in November 2010 for delivery to begin the 2011 SVRA vintage race season.
The dual concession doors enable easy loading and loading of both left-hand drive and right-hand drive cars (I had both).
Base trailer specifications: 18" low profile enclosed car trailer compartment - all aluminum 22" overall length 7000# GVWR I ordered this trailer with the following options: 82" interior width 61" interior height (raised 1" to accommodate custom floor) 14" long recessed tires & tools storage compartment, divided into two sections Welded over-sized aluminum D-rings (8 total) Atwood heavy duty electric tongue jack Rear level jacks 11" x 15" aluminum ramps that store under the deck Battery box on tongue (diamond plate) with integrated Battery Tender and charging plug Winch riser (diamond plate) Warn 3700# winch Gull wing doors (front & rear) Concession doors (left & right) Smooth silver exterior 4 interior lights All aluminum construction Aluminum wheels Dexter torsion axles with EZ Lube spindles (each rated @ 3500#) 13" 8-ply tires I had the spare tire and tools compartment located at the far back of the trailer as to not be obstructed under a towed car in the event of a flat tire (something Trailex and Featherlite fail to do).
A similar new build trailer to this one would cost $16K-$20K, depending on manufacturer and still weigh over 3,000 pounds. I towed race cars in this trailer with only a Toyota FJ Cruiser (5,000 pound towing). Reduce the drivetrain stress while improving gas mileage with your 1/2 ton truck or SUV with this lightweight trailer.
The trailer has NO ACCIDENT DAMAGE and has been regularly serviced. About 15,000 towing miles on trailer and its 2nd set of tires will need replacing in 2018 due to date codes.
