Up for auction is our 2010 General Dynamics M1163 ITV-PM 4x4 Growler along with a 2010 M1164 ITV-AT Ammo Trailer
A little background on the Growler: MWM Sprint 4-Cylinder Turbo Diesel, Automatic Transmission, 4x4 with High and Low Range, Terrain Mobilizer (with 4 different modes: Kneeling, Mud/Sand/Snow, Cross Country, and Highway) as-well as as a Tire Inflation System, a ir ride gas bladder suspension, height-adjustable on the fly via dash control panel , Government issued FOX shocks, Dual Fuel Tanks , 2-Door, 3-Passenger with soft top enclosure (not pictured) including doors. 235/85R-16 Tires, 2" receiver hitch. 2,130 hours. 5776 GVWR.
Condition report: Only one visually cracked CV boot (front right "outboard") out of 8. The transmission and motor are both solid and the Growler shifts strong. The underbelly is in good shape has no visible signs of a bent belly pan or exhaust system. Aside from the bumps and bruises which can always be expected on these military gems, the overall condition is extremely strong and all systems are in operational order. All the little boots and switches for the rear steering etc. are all in tact and in great shape. The engine compartment is very clean and the cab frame is entirely complete (from front to back). I do have the original vinyl top / doors / and rear enclosure however, they will need various sections of stitching and vinyl repair for the next owner (we"ve enjoyed it without the the enclosure however, these are very difficult and expensive to obtain in their entirety but very favorable to possess- I will include this with the auction).
Also as part of the auction package: 2010 M1164 ITV-AT Ammo Trailer : Curb weight 925lbs. with a 1600lb Payload Capacity 235/85R-16 Tires and an integrated tongue jack.
Although these pieces of recent military history are not for everybody (they do have their periodic, idiosyncratic, anomalies that accompany ownership) they are very rare (less than 500 I believe) and a blast to own and drive. We have a construction project underway and with lumber prices up, we have decided to sell our ITV and ITV Ammo Trailer. Don"t miss this chance to own a couple of rare pieces of military history!
