“Truck has 1,108,730. Last time I drove it I noticed loss of power, and drop in oil pressure while under a load. I haven’t had it looked at by a mechanic, but it will need engine work soon. It has a Detroit Diesel 15, DD15, and 10 speed manual transmission. Double bunk sleeper.I have keep up with oil changes and maintenance. Passed quarterly DOT inspections in the last 16 months. I spent over $12,000 last year alone by putting new brake chambers, new air compressor, along with air tanks. Drive tires have less than 8,000 miles. All drives are in good shape except 1. It will pass DOT. It was on the road, working until mid-April, when I noticed the loss of power.yI’ve owned, and been the sole driver for the past 7 years. She has been to all 48, and been a spectacular truck. I hate to let it go, but after spending so much on repairs it’s time for me to move on.” |
