2010 Aluma Line Custom Aluminum Motorcycle Trailer to pull behind Harley, Honda, etc VIN: 1YGMT0412AB059957
Up for auction here is a 2010 Aluma Line trailer This trailer comes with a clear Virginia Title. Approximate Interior Dimensions: Length 57” Width 25” Depth 21”
This trailer was manufactured in 2008 by Aluma Trailers in Bancroft, Iowa. It was purchased by the original owner in the latter part of 2009. This trailer was taken by the original owner to a custom paint shop in West Virginia to have the hand painted mural and pinstriping done. The artwork that you see was done by Mike Lamborne (Mountainman) of Mountainman Art. You can go to mountainmanart to see some of Mountainman’s amazing work. Once the trailer was finished it was brought back to Virginia and first titled and registered in 2010. Therefore the title shows the trailer to be a 2010 Aluma Line Trailer.
We purchased this trailer from the original owner in October of 2020. Once we got it home we completely stripped it down and began the reconstruction process. We preserved the original hand painted work by Mountainman and as you can see it is still in great condition.
We replaced all of the original wiring with new wiring. We replaced all of the standard lights with top quality new L.E.D. lights. We also added new L.E.D. lights for greater looks and higher visibility. We reworked and polished all of the aluminum. We then took the trailer to Line-X of Lynchburg and had all of the diamond plate aluminum black Line-X coated for better durability and appearance. We also had the fenders and cooler rack coated with the Line-X material.
We reworked the aluminum custom wheels by removing the plastic coating and then re-finishing and polishing the wheels. We then added new balanced 8PLY Comfort Touring GT Radials. Each tire has a 908lb capacity. The original tires had around a 400lb capacity and they were never balanced. The new GT tires were put on in our garage and have ZERO (0) miles on them. This trailer has never been pulled on the road since it was recently completed.
We have installed new carpet on the inside walls and floor. We also installed a new 12 volt outlet which also includes USB ports. We installed 2 battery operated touch L.E.D. lights on the inside of the lid.
We removed the cooler rack and made an aluminum plate to put in its place. We always put our cooler inside the box to cut down on the tongue weight of the trailer. We did have the cooler rack Line-X coated and it can be quickly reinstalled if preferred. We sat it in position in one of the pictures so you could get an idea of how it would look.
We hooked the trailer up to our 2019 Harley Road Glide just to pull it around into the front yard to take some photos. We will be listing our Road Glide on Ebay shortly after we sell the trailer so keep an eye out for it in a few weeks.
The reason we are selling what we have is because we are going to a trike. My wife and I are retiring from Law Enforcement. We just bought a Class-C RV and we will be pulling a small box trailer with the trike inside.
This trailer is +/- 225 lb empty weight with a 600 lb GVWR, which means you will be able to carry around 375 lb of cargo weight. This trailer is now Harley-Davidson themed. However all anyone would have to do is remove two decals, a medallion and tag bracket. Then you would still have a beautiful trailer for any bike or vehicle of your choosing.
I can assure you that the winner of this trailer auction will not be disappointed when they arrive to pick it up. It is a true head turner. Please ask any and all questions that you have BEFORE you bid. If you would like, you are more than welcome to come and inspect it BEFORE you bid. What you see is what you will get….nothing more and nothing less! This trailer is being sold “as is where is” with no warranty or promises made by seller to buyer.
Winner required to pay a $300.00 deposit. Remainder to be paid by cash when the winner of this auction picks up this trailer. This trailer must be completely paid for and picked up within 10 days after the end of this auction.
Once again this trailer comes with a clear Virginia Title.
We may be willing to assist you with delivery of this trailer for a reasonable fee once the trailer is paid for. Please ask any questions you may have about delivery before you place any bids.
