Vehicle description
This is a great condition 2009 Setra S417 motor coach. This coach has served our fleet quite well, and was being used for a line run until recently. It has since been sitting and started and driven regularly to ensure its operation. The drivetrain is a Detroit series 60, coupled with a push button Allison 6 speed automatic transmission (the best in the business). This bus is reliable, quiet, smooth and comfortable for the passengers as well As the operator. There is some damage to the outside of the bus, as shown in the pictures. The coach has good tires on it, with several axles shown, and some better than 70%. This coach is stopped with air disks all around. These too have been maintained regularly up until the bus was sidelined. The interior is set up in a standard fashion. But at one time a table was an option. I do not know if we still have the table in our shop. We have several of the common parts in stock and they will be included with the sale if desired. This bus only has 410k on it and has several hundred thousand more miles of life left in it. You can find plenty of these here on the internet with significantly higher mileage than this example. Please call nick at for more information. We are open to offers on this bus but please be realistic. No we will not donate the bus. Sorry. Thanks for looking!UPDATE: MAKE A REAL OFFER VIA TELEPHONE PLEASE!If you come correct with a legitimate offer, we will drive the bus, and put it on the lift for our professional maintenance team to go over and make sure the bus is in road-ready condition! The bus is relatively rust free underneath and we have approx. $26k in receipts from detroit diesel in Connecticut for a full engine rebuild, most recently of which has been a cylinder head removal, valve job, and new gasket which took place in 2018 and cost us $7000 out of pocket.PLEASE DM ME for a 24/7 contact info, as opposed to our normal line, which is only in operation during normal business hours (shortened due to covid). This is a great deal on a great bus that simply doesnt have room in our fleet any more. We are practically giving this bus away at this price, even if just for the indestructible drive train.
