Vehicle description
Chassis: The chassis is a fleet maintained 2009 International DuraStar 4300 powered by a 7.6 L MaxxForce Diesel (DT466) and coupled with an Allison automatic transmission. The top rated Horton Rescue Body Module is mounted on a 26,000 #GVW rated frame with rear air suspension and air brakes. The current mileage is around 231K on what is generally considered a half a million mile or more engine. This is a fully equipped cab with Air Conditioning, Stereo with Aux input, Air ride seats, Power windows, Power door locks, and power mirrors. It is also equipped with a keyless entry system which locks and unlocks not only the cab doors but all of the module doors as well. Heavy Duty towing package as well. Tires are estimated at 70% remaining tread. Recent tires, recent brakes, recent front shocks, recent HPOP (High Pressure Oil Pump), recent Oil / Filter, and Fuel filter replacement. Module / Living quarters: Horton modules and interiors are built of all aluminum with crash resistant design along with top quality hardware and LED lighting. For the electromagnetically hypersensitive type (smart meters, 5g, wifi, ELFs), the full aluminum module provides a moderate Faraday cage type of electromagnetic RF protection. It can be easily adapted to accommodate full Faraday – EMP protection. Each cargo hold is illuminated by led lighting strips, along with high quality hinges, seals, and handles with locking system. Left, right, and rear flood lights operate independently. Off Grid Power system: A 600 Watt solar power system has been stealthily installed on the roof, complimented by a highly efficient MPPT solar charger keeping 3-105 ah (Amp Hour) Duracell Deep Cycle “House” batteries charged. A 3000 Watt Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter powers the fully factory wired 110V system onboard. If desired or needed, the module can also be plugged in with 20 amp service and will also charge batteries with a factory onboard 70 amp charger. A Battery isolation system ensures the starting batteries remain fully charged regardless of the state-of-charge of the house batteries. It will also activate to recharge the “House” batteries with the 320 Amp factory equipped alternator once the engine is started. Living Space: The interior has been adapted to host a full size Murphy style bed. The bed can remain folded against the wall for extra space, or lowered and suspended easily with adjustable straps. A 110V Fridge / Freezer combo operates off of the Inverter system. Dishwashing is convenient with a wide aluminum sink and efficient water sprayer system. A cassette toilet occupies one of the large converted compartments with a small access from the interior or full access from the exterior. The interior height of the unit is 6’- 4” . Full blackout curtains are installed. This is essentially a zero carbon footprint vehicle / home when operated with Biodiesel. Fuel mileage is around 9-12 mpg depending on how it is driven.
