173283051404 Up for auction is a 2008 Little Guy 4-Wide Retro, manufactured in September 2007. This teardrop trailer was custom built for us, and is unique. For starters, the floor and walls are made of fiberglass-composite board instead of plywood, so they are 100% rot-proof, as well as much lighter in weight. The walls are overlaid with fiberglass sheeting on the outside, and carpet on the inside. The roof is alu-fiber – a fiberglass/aluminum composite. The lighting is all LED throughout, so you can camp for days on a single battery charge. In addition to the interior lights, the kitchen has an LED strip light, and each door has an amber porch light. If you have electricity at your campsite, there are receptacles and an on-board battery charger, as well as a 12-volt receptacle. The battery is a deep-cycle, purchased in the fall of 2017. The battery is also charged by the tow vehicle while driving. This trailer is very light, and can be towed by anything that is rated to tow. And, to make it safe, it has electric trailer brakes. As such, it is wired with a 7-prong round Bargman plug. In addition to the minivan pictured, we have towed it with a Geo Prizm (Toyota Corolla) and a Saturn SW1 wagon. Since it is a 4-wide, you will not need any tow mirrors to see past it. The original mattress was pretty thin, so we had a new custom mattress made. It is much thicker and more supportive and comfortable. Another upgrade is the MaxxFan vent – it can be kept open even in the rain, and with the “bat-wing” side shelters (included), you can also keep the windows open for plenty of ventilation. The fan can move a LOT of air (there are 10 speeds available), and is reversible. With these features, condensation has never been a problem for us. The bat wings also provide privacy, as well as enabling protected entry and exit in the rain. If you are camping in either very hot or very cold weather, it also includes a PetCool air conditioner/heater, which works GREAT. The kitchen has been upgraded from the standard Little Guy galley, with storage and a slide-out stove tray. An access panel in the kitchen counter opens to the foot of the bed. Up front, there are cabinets for additional storage, plus they make a nice surface to lean against for reading in bed. Under the trailer is a storage tube for fire pit tools and roasting sticks. There is a 2” receiver at the rear, for a bike rack or luggage tray. I will include the weather-tight storage box that I normally keep mounted there. The rear receiver is also wired with a 4-prong plug, for auxiliary lights should you need them. Also included is a storage cover. This camper has almost always been stored inside, but on the rare occasions it is outside when not camping, it has been kept covered. Therefore, it is in outstanding condition. The spare tire has also been covered since new. The camper can be available for viewing by appointment. The title is clear and in-hand. A $500 deposit is required at the close of the auction, with full payment in cash at the time of pickup, within 10 days.
