“Truck shakes between 35-50mph... after that it smooths out. Some of the tires are worn unevenly. It probably just needs an alignment. It never bothered me. There is some damage on the box between the cab and box but nothing major. It's just pushed toward the cab a little from pallets sliding forward. The abs light is also on but the air brakes are VERY strong. It goes off after the truck is running for a few minutes. It probably needs a new oil pan gasket... it does drip a little oil... but... not much.” |

For Sale:
2008 Hino DIESEL 26" model 338 box truck with 6 speed manual transmission
Has about 460,000 miles on it
The Good:
-the truck starts easily every time
-drives fine; I"d drive it to California and back no problem
-has an air suspension seat which is VERY comfortable
-good transmission
-has air brakes that work great
-has power windows and cruise control
-radio works great
-Inspection is good for a couple more months in PA and should pass again no problem
-truck is very powerful and the turbo works great
-the brakes work great, it has air brakes, they"re very strong
The Bad:
-the truck shakes between 35-50mph; I believe it just needs an alignment, after 50mpg it smooths out
-the tires are wearing unevenly, but have plenty of tread left, again I believe it just needs an alignment
-the front of the box has some damage, but doesn"t leak. It"s just pushed towards the cab from pallets sliding when braking
-it drips oil from what looks like the oil pan. It probably just needs an oil pan gasket. It"s a slow drip, it never bothered me enough to fix it. You hardly ever have to put oil in it.
-it takes a few minutes to build pressure for the dpr? air brakes when you start it up. I"m not sure if that"s normal or not. It doesn"t make sense to me because the parking brake is an air brake and that"ll stay locked forever until you release it.
-the plastic chrome front grill has some damage on it as you can see in the pictures
-you can still see some of the old logos on the truck because some of the vinyl sticker adhesive is still on there
This is a good truck especially for someone who prefers a manual transmission. If you have any questions please don"t hesitate to ask. And, of course you"re more than welcome to come and take it for a test drive, just let me know.
