Always be ready for an adventure with this RV conversion. This conversion kit easily installs and uninstalls in about 15 minutes with a screwdriver. The caravan has not been modified and has full seating available when the kit is removed. This allows you to have a useful vehicle 365 days of the year while fitting into a standard garage and it is a fraction of the cost of a full size RV without all the RV extra maintenance.
The vehicle can sleep 2, has lots of storage, holds 10 gallon of fresh on demand water, features a flushing camping toilet, compressor fridge/freezer, pull out kitchen cabinet, 500 watt Jackery inverter. The fridge and water pump can be run off vehicle power or the Jackery. Solar panels (not included) can easily be added to recharge the Jackery.
Because of current health issues, we have not camped in it, but have had many cookout adventures. Everything works great! Mattresses are 2 cot size 4" memory foam tri-fold mattresses still in plastic. Toilet is a Dometic 975 flushing portable toilet with a 5 gallon holding tank that has never been used. We made curtains for total privacy along with removable bug screens to allow for ventilation while sleeping. Bring along your portable gas grill, load up your supplies and you are ready for a weekend adventure or a cross country trek.
The vehicle is a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT package with many options including backup camera and built in TV system. It runs well. The only bads are a cracked windshield and some Minnesota fender rust, but is in good shape for being 13 years old. Tires are 1 year old, tranny has recently been flushed, interior is in good condition. Gray interior and exterior. 2 Fobs included. It took a month to design and build this after looking at many RV"s and trailers to get all the features I was looking for. I am very pleased at how everything functions. We cooked some amazing meals at some beautiful state parks this past summer. The camping van is located in southern Minnesota and buyer is responsible for local pickup.
