I averaged 6.5-7mpg depending on where you run, how heavy your freight is, and how much of a hurry you are in. There is some minor cosmetic damage as any vehicle of this year will have. Its not overly rusted but it does have some. Most recent repairs include new batteries, ac compressor, ac evaporator, front climate control, accessories drive, bunk blower motor, dash instrument cluster, 5th wheel, headlight assembly, muffler & exhaust pipes. routine pm maintenance, replaced a couple tires etc. Tires and brakes should be good. Don"t have a current reading on tread depth but I can get that.
CD player doesn"t work so AM/FM only. Driver and passenger seats are missing arm rests and upholstery is torn at seams which could possibly be repaired. The floor near the shifter is starting to go soft. Was told this is common and can be fixed relatively inexpensively. Hasn"t been an issue for me so it wasn"t addressed. Has some electrical issues that were bypassed and toggle switche added for passenger headlight so you now use 2 switches to turn on and off the headlights. This DOES NOT effect its ability to do the job or pass inspection. It does however cause the dash to constantly show a code that is safely ignored. Some other inside electrical issues that weren"t addressed like lights above the driver and passenger seat as well as the overhead dome light do not work but other lights inside at the bunk area do work just fine. Truck originally had a refrigerator that went bad so there is a spot if you want to add one. The oil dipstick is present but lost its top from age so you will need to make sure you don"t fully insert it or get another one. The electronic dash will tell you when you are getting low on oil and/or your oil pressure reading will change also. The coolant overflow tank is cracked and the sensor attached to the tank is bad so its unplugged. The crack was sealed and if you do your pre-trip and watch your gauges you should be good. Replacement tank/sensor combo can be bought for around $200. Appears to be easy plug and play type install. This truck could use a good cleaning inside and out. Arthritis/health issues prevent me from doing so. Passenger side headlight plastic housing is cracked. Some tape will fix this. The light illuminates as it should. Some door rust but can easily be covered up with metal VOLVO decals for around $100 Missing interior dash trim is present and just needs reinstalled.
