In the 1950"s, when nitro-methane burning dragsters were put into classes according to the size of their engines, the Power King was a "B" dragster on the A, B,C, D scale/ Sponsored by Power King Batteries, the car campaigned in Arizona, California and Nevada. Today"s Power King nostalgia top fuel dragster still has the same iron block 354cubic inch engine that it had in the 50"s and the early 60"s. With the stock engine and the chassis improved, so did the elapsed times and mph. In 2005, the Power King became the fasted and quickest 354 Chrysler engines in dragster history. By the end of 2006, the best elapsed time was 6.20 seconds with speeds of 223 mph. With some additional displacements in a newer style engine, and other refinements and hoping for times of less than 6 seconds with speeds of 240-250mph or better, dragster comes with all spare parts and tires.
