7.6L DT466E Engine
Allison 2000 Transmission 82,2XX Miles 72 Passenger Capacity
Air Brakes Rear Air Suspension Air Entrance Door
Air Driver"s Seat Carrier Air Conditioning (two units) Side Storage Compartments
Cruise Control Phone Charging Port AM/FM Stereo Tinted Student Windows GVWR: 30,000 VIN: 4DRBVAAN25A979799 This is a one owner bus from a small south Arkansas public school. They sold it this summer. It is a well optioned bus and has high ceilings (6 foot 5 inches headroom). I have checked it over thoroughly and make note of the following. It will start right up, sounds good, and drives but there are some things to mention on the driving. It takes off slow if it is an incline, it has trouble taking hills, and the top speed is 60 or so. There is some sort of power issue but I don"t know what it is. If the incline is very steep the bus will be very slow. Once it"s on level ground it drives good and will get up to city speeds (35-50mph) like normal but the top end is about 60. Currently none of the gauges seem to be working except the air pressure and volt gauge. The A/C works- the front unit is cold but the back unit is just cool. The plastic cover for both units is cracking and falling apart. The front A/C was dripping water when I was testing it. It has Continental 11R22.5 tires with good tread on the rears and fair to low tread on the front.
