Vehicle description
This truck needs to be towed, but does yard drive and will drive onto a trailer. The spindle is bent on the drivers side rear axle and so the inner/outer bearings and spindle will need to be replaced or swap out the whole axle housing (I know of a locally available complete rear end for sale with the same gear ratio). Vehicle was also observed with a pinhole fuel leak in a rusty return fuel line and brakes not operable (was told they just need to be bleed but I have not tested further). Truck has several rust holes in dump body. Frame appears solid and straight. Lines (brake/fuel/etc) have heavy corrosion. May be other leaks/areas needing attention, sold as-is needing repair. This is a low mileage 2005 GMC C5500 Kodiak 4x4 dump duramax diesel plow truck (bed has built in sander that I have not tested including the spinner not shown in photo that attaches to rear. Truck has 85,694 miles. Includes snow plow and wing, both have poly skin, some cracks in plastic. Previously owned by a municipally, fleet maintained. Solid frame and cab but dump bed has rust and rust holes that need to be patched. Duramax with Alison automatic transmission. Truck motor runs strong and transmission is solid, motor sounds great and starts easily. Yard drives well but was taken off the road due to a bent rear spindle (driver"s side rear) so the rear axle housing (S135S) and the related bearings will need to be replaced (5.13 gear ratio) or contact your local mobile "Axle Surgeon" (about 1/4 the cost of new housing) and have them do the repair. I know a parts yard that has a complete rear axle available that should be compatible. Brakes should be bled. All reflected in asking price.
