Vehicle description
This 2004 Safari Trek is a "one off", believed to have been ordered by a keen fisherman, Safari never made another. At the rear of the vehicle are large opening doors that reveal a storage area once used for fishing gear, (and perhaps again), I use it for storing all sorts from seats to brooms to oils and tools, and inside on the ceiling are wooden fittings that might once have held fishing rods. Like most Treks this has the "Magic Bed" that goes up into the ceiling to give more social room than you might imagine for 30 feet and is really built for a couple, though it might be possible to sleep a child on the sofa, some do.
It has the P32 chassis and an 8.1 liter Vortec V8 engine. I have entered that it has two air conditioners, one is in dash and the other on the ceiling.
I am British and I purchased from Australians, so this has been on tour for about 6 years. I have had quite a lot of servicing and maintenance on it and believe it"s in good shape, but because of being on the road with no US base neither I nor the previous owners have done the soft furnishings and really it needs attention in this area. Good to use right now but over time whether DIY or professional the vehicle would benefit from some TLC.
Please ask anything, tyres are believed 2016 and good, Genny is on the button, I"m sure you have questions. The given location is where it is on the day the listing starts, won"t be too far away but I am touring on board.
You might ask why I"m selling and the answer is that I was part of a couple and am now single and would prefer to go down to a Class B. There is also a Kia Rio tow car of 2007 vintage and a Blue Ox towing system for sale as well if needed, but not part of this listing.
When I first took over Charley Trek I found many things needing attention and had them all done, but concerned about the future I took out a Coach-Net "preferred" service contract that still has 9 months to run, it is transferable on a small payment, I think $75, and will repair anything that fails on the coach on payment of a deductible. I have never claimed. This is terrific security and has been a great comfort to me and I"m sure will be to you if you buy. Better than a dealer guarantee or the vendors good word since the best of us cannot predict the future.
