2004 Itasca Sunstar Class C Camper It doubles at a 2003 Volkswagen Eurovan 24v Vr6 2.8 Gas Engine. Automatic Transmission 31,000 original miles Great tires Its dirty - its been snowing here alot these past few weeks it could use a good wash and interior cleaning.
I own a small car dealership in Lincoln Nebraska. I am a Volkswagen Enthusiast and sell alot of Volkswagens. Along the way I find strange Vw"s and buy them. This is one of those purchases.
This Camper has been in Illinois since 2008 , according to the title. I purchase it at a dealer auction a few months ago. Shipping it was not very fun , let that be a lesson to potential buyers.
This camper was last used summer of 2019. At that time the previous owner told me everything worked like it should. There are owner manuals and documentation for everything inside the camper. SEE LAST PICTURE. With it being COLD i have not tested camping related accessories. Everything is there and looks to be in 18 year old condition.
Mechanically - engine sounds very good - drives nice - I got it up to 80 MPH yesterday on Highway to be sure it was all solid. No warning lights on the instrument cluster. I did notice the Radio does NOT work - it does not have POWER. I might look into this as i could just be a fuse.
It has a water intrusion / leak. In the front part of the camper. Previous owner said they had it resealed up 10 years ago or something but said yep it leaks some water. The wood that goes under the bed is swollen up from water soaking. We just had 12 inches of snow here and the back part of the passenger front seat was wet - the water was dripping from the roof inside the bed area. I maybe suspect that VENT on the top front of the Camper needs resealed or someone on a Facebook page mentioned the Hazzard lights are notorious also for letting water into the camper. I dont see any other evidence of water damage behind that top bed area.
The carpet has some stains from being used as a camper. All the Seats / cushions are in great shape and i dont see any obvious stains or rips in them. All the cupboards open and shut. The Fridge opens and shuts but the freeze door when you open it doesnt stay shut , you have to help it up to close fridge.
The tires are very nice with LOTS of tread.
