“It took me 3 years to find them, and now I have to sell them. These are well maintained school buses from a Virginia county school system. They have 78 passenger seats, air operated door, 5 speed auto trans, AND THEY ARE AIR CONDITIONED. There are a few cosmetic flaws as noted in the photos. They run like a buck in hunting season. I actually have two, fraternal twins. Tires about 70%, very few seats worn, exit doors on both sides, roof hatches, We removed the governors and they will run at 70MPH on the highways and will actually climb hills. When we bought them, we had new compressors installed and had a bunch of minor things repaired. Because we used them for summer camp, thy had to pass state inspection, and then MY inspection, which is tougher than the state's. These would be excellent for conversion, for scouts, churches, youth groups, and summer camps. We have two almost identical buses. You are BIDDING ON 1 (ONE) BUS. Deal if you buy both. You are bidding on 1(one) bus.” |

Vehicle description
2004 International Air Conditioned 78 RE passenger bus. We have two, 2004 air conditioned, International school buses, twins, that were used for our summer camp program. They are 78 passenger buses with air conditioning. Both have 444 cu in (7.3 L) V8 turbodiesel RE engines and 5 speed push-button transmissions. They average better than 11 MPG, and will easily do 70 MPH on the highway, (we have the governors removed) . They are much better than average going up hills. We got these from a Virginia school system because of their 12 year retirement law. They have been maintained by a local truck company and inspected to my expectations and well as the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Minor wear to the seats; all glass is good, emergency hatches and doors on both sides; Air Doors; all lights and gauges work as they should. The buses are in great shape with 150,000 miles on one, 204,000 on the other. Steering tires are about 80%, drive tires are about 60%. The stairs are rust free, and very little rust only near the wheel wells. Bus 516 experienced minor cosmetic damage (see picture). They are 16 years old and show some wear and paint fade on the outside. These would be perfect for a church, camp or made into an RV. It took me three years to find them and now I want to send them to a good home. If you have more questions, message me and I will answer as quickly as I can. Buses are sold as is, where with no written or implied warranty. Price is for each bus.
