2004 Dodge Sprinter Diesel Camper Conversion: This is an amazing road trip van that has excellent visibility and fuel economy. I have had this van for a few years and have decided to sell to help fund my kids college fund. I converted this van a couple years back from a passenger van. I am 2nd owner. I have receipts from prior owner. It is a great van that can haul a ton and get the fuel milage of a mini van and you can even stand up in it. It has factory seating for 5 with seatbelts. It can sleep two adults (on foldout futon in back) and one small kid on the hammock above driver / passenger and another kid can sleep on the bench seat.

Camping Equipment: • 200 Watt Solar Array on roof • Deep cycle battery for running fridge, water pump, lighting, and inverter. Battery is charged from alternator while engine is running and solar panels. • 12 volt - chest fridge / freezer • Fresh water tank under van • Electric pump for faucet • Dual burner propane stove • Cot that fits above driver and passenger seat - kid sleeping • Tie downs for hanging Kayaks or hammock from the ceiling. • Removable storage bins make it easy to pack and unpack by taking them out of the van. • Espar Cabin Heater. This is a factory installed diesel heater that can run without the engine running to keep the interior of the van warm. ( Does not currently work - Not sure why) • Inverter - for running household voltage electronics.
Van Mechanical - In the brief time I have owned it I have upgraded the following: • New turbo • New tires (E rated (heavy duty)) • New alternator • 2 New Batteries (one for engine the other for house power) • New brake rotor and pads • New Glow Plugs and Glow Plug Controller • Fresh Oil Change • No check engine lights or error codes The van runs great and starts easily in the dead of winter. Does not smoke or leak and has lots of life left. Was driven to Florida and back in December. Things that use improvement: • AC works coming out the vents in the back of the van but not coming out of the dash. • There is rust present on the body and underside. • There are a couple of holes in the exhaust pipe to the rear of the muffler. Currently there are patches covering these holes so it does not effect anything. • There are some stains on the ceiling from very small slow leaks. You can stand inside this van during a downpour and not see any leaks.
