Vehicle description
You read that right, this Chevrolet, Roadtrek only has 13,625 original miles on it. Comes with all the standard equipment, fridge, sink stove, generator, bathroom, shower, air conditioner, microwave, awning and many more options.
The back story: We stumbled across this RV in an auction to settle an estate in 2018. We were planning on semi-retiring in 2020 and buying a big boat to start making multiple Florida long trips. I was afraid my Sprinter couldn"t handle the big boat. At that time it had 11,600 miles on it, we drove it home, stuck it in the shed and ignored it until 2020.
At this time I sent it out and did the following:
Swapped out dry rotted tires for new tires
Replaced coach battery (drive battery we bought in 2018 to get it home)
Complete tune up, plugs, wires etc. .
Replaced fuel pump (it worked but was noisy)
Sway bar bushings, dry rotted and shrunk up
Serpentine belt
Dropped the generator down and rebuilt carb (seals dried out)
We drove it around for awhile to see if there were bugs to work out, then we drove it to our place in Clear Lake IA, (675 miles each way) for the summer, 2020. Drove it back to Indiana, in that September and it has been in the shed ever since.
Fast forward to November 2021, we bought that big boat, and my Sprinter pulls it just fine, so I don"t need the bigger Chevy motor, and we like our Sprinter as we have had it for several years.
Other things:
It had a shriveled up "Winterized" tag on the faucet in the driver"s rear storage when I bought it. I gathered it hadn"t been used for quite some time at that point.
I have never put water in it or tried any appliances except the work we did to the generator.
The 3 windows in the roof need re-sealed, they leak in moderate rain.
It has a couple of running marker lights out. (headlights and tail lights all good)
We drove it to dinner last week, there is a slight steering wheel shake, I think this will come out of it as it may have flat spots on the tires from sitting so long, it was not there the last time we drove it.
I know nothing else other than 1 owner with no accidents
