Vehicle description
I bought the motor home which is a 2003 dual slide Fleetwood Southwind 35R, on a Ford F53 V10 chassis, earlier this year with the sole purpose of taking a cross country trip with my grandchildren. As I have completed my mission, I find it is now time to sell.
Upon purchase I had all six tires replaced with Uniroyal 245/70/19.5 tires (date code of 4016). Brakes checked, had the front end aligned, and moved the front sway bar brackets to improve handling. I also added some extra seatbelts for use on the trip.
I had a local truck mechanic go through entire chassis. He replaced plugs, tuned the engine, generator, and changed the oil and filter. Internally fixed some lights and switches. The cruise control was disconnected when purchased (no idea why), and it remains that way.
I took my grandchildren on a 6 week, 6,664 mile tour of the West. During the trip I had one AC motor freeze up which has been replaced. Motor home preformed well.
The motorhome is 2003 which makes it 14 years old, and shows some normal wear, and as such is not pristine, but as you can see in the pictures is in good shape. Small damage to left rear which can be seen in the pictures.
Currently the mileage is 38,606 which is good for a motorhome of this age. The generator has 1,338 hours, runs great. Although the motorhome operates on 30 amp service, with the EMS system both AC’s can operate at the same time.
The pictures show the interior and exterior condition of the motorhome. All fabric materials are in good shape. The refrigerator was temperamental on LP during the trip, fine on electrical. Recommend someone look at LP operation. Call me at 803-530-3165 with any questions. The motorhome has the following appliances and items: Over the range Samsung Microwave Amana gas oven with 3 burner surface unit Norcold 1200LRIM Quad door refrigerator and freezer (no icemaker), runs on both gas and electric. Electronic Management System to control power usage, as part of overall systems control panel. Wired for CB radio Winegard Satellite Antenna, Winegard Sensar TV antenna and distribution box, DVD player. Backup camera with microphone Power driver’s seat
