Vehicle description
Up for sale is our 2003 Coach House motorhome. For those who are not familiar with Coach House motorhomes: New ones are only sold at the factory in Venice, Florida. They are not sold by RV dealers. They are built by setting a one piece seamless fiberglass shell down on the stripped van chassis and continuing construction of the coach from there. That way the roof has no seams that could possibly develop leaks. Also, no rubber roof to seal every few years. We bought it in December of 2019 and believe we are the 3rd owners of it. It had almost 144000 miles on it then and now has 154085 miles on the odometer. This motorhome is built on a 2002 Ford E450 chassis with the 6.8 liter V10 gasoline engine. The engine still runs great. The only problems we have had with the engine since we bought it are the following: First we had to have the MAP sensor (also called mass air flow sensor) replaced and the other problem was that one of the spark plug/coil assemblies came unscrewed and backed completely out of the engine block. We had a new one installed and tightened up the other 9. The other thing that broke is the driver side power window mechanism. We had to have a new unit installed in it. We have also done about $3000 in other maintenance and repairs. I won"t bore you with that list at this time but will be glad to provide that info to anyone who is interested. This motorhome is called a class B+ because it has a dry bath with a separate shower as shown in the pictures. I think there is a couple of other reasons it is called a class B+ but can"t recall what they are right now. The motorhome had a smaller TV when we got it. We installed a larger Samsung TV in it. I think it is a 36 inch TV. The motorhome has a 4KW Onan generator built in. It can be started from outside and inside. It has 1129 hours on it and still runs well. We did the recommended generator maintenance ourselves a few months ago. The motorhome had the original microwave/convection oven in it when we bought it. The digital control panel was partially inoperative. We tried to find a replacement control panel for it but they are no longer available for ones made in 2003. We wound up installing a new microwave oven in place of the old microwave/convection oven. That lightened the motorhome by at least 50 pounds I believe! We also installed a new pullout kitchen sink faucet. Another thing we did is to install Fantastic Vent covers over the two vent fans so you leave them open when it is raining. I could go on and on but I will stop with this: Ask for more info if you want it and I will reply to you ASAP. Also, I want to add that we are selling this motorhome "As Is" with no promises or warranty. Thanks for reading my description and let the bidding begin!
