For sale is my 2003 Chevrolet Bluebird 5 window short bus. This bus has 125,000 miles which is nothing on the 6.0L LS (LQ4) gasoline engine and 4L80e Transmission. I personally think the 4 speed transmission is much better in these heavier vehicles than the newer 6 speeds, it doesn"t hunt around on the highway not the mention it lasts longer. This bus was still hauling children around last year and they seemed to have taken great care of the bus considering there"s nothing wrong with it. It has a 2020-2021 school bus inspection and another separate vehicle inspection sticker from the state of PA.
I told the title place what I was going to do with it when I got the title done and it"s already titled as a motorhome which is nice for for anyone else looking to convert it to an RV.
The bus overall runs and drives excellent, it will go as fast as you wish to on the freeway, I"ve had it doing 85. No mechanical issues that need attention at all. No leaks. The bus only has 125,000 miles, I have personally witnessed these engines with 450,000 miles still running good. I would drive it anywhere without hesitation. There are no warning lights on the dash. It"s a very solid bus for the year. No structural or rust issues with the floor, steps or any crossmembers. Please watch the video linked below to see a tour of the bus and more information.
