2002 Prevost tour bus in excellent shape.
Prevost is considered by most to be the best bus made. The frame is stainless steel, all of the body panels are made of fiberglass, and the floor is made of marine-grade plywood. I have not found any rust or rot anywhere.
I am the second owner. The original owner was a charter service in North Carolina that owns about 80 Prevost Buses. They have their own service department and the bus has had top-notch service care.
The engine is a turbo-charged Detroit 60 series with 760k miles. The transmission is an Allison B500 with 120k miles. I did a lot of research on this engine and transmission. Experts told me that the Detroit engines are good for 1.5 million miles and the Allison transmissions are good for 500k miles. So lots of miles to go.
The bus just had its yearly DOT inspection and passed with flying colors. The charter service delivered the bus from North Carolina to Arizona and it had no issues. The driver set the cruise at 70 MPH and never slowed down to less than 68 MPH, even in the mountains. He got 8 MPG.
The AC and heat work great. The driver said the bus actually got too cold, even in Arizona in August. The side windows are dual-pane.
The tires are in great shape. The spare is brand new. Any cracked glass has been replaced. The paint job is brand new and cost $12k.
The interior has been completely removed and is ready for you to make your dream motor home. There is 6 ft 5 inches of headroom at the middle of the bus. The luggage area is huge. It goes all the way across and is 44 inches high. There are two new tanks in the lower area. Each one is 250 gallons. One is for fresh water, the other is for waste water. The water tank is EPA approved for drinking water.
This bus also has a side door that is 4 ft wide. This option is super-rare but very important for RV conversions so you can get big things into the bus like couches, counter, showers, etc.
The bus is located in Golden Valley, a small town on the west side of Arizona located in between Bull Head City and Kingman.
