Vehicle description

This campervan is ideal not only because it has all the amenities of a small apartment (i.e. a living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, main and guest bedroom), but it can also conveniently fit into a standard garage because of its’ pop top design. Whether camping overnight or on a road trip, I have always considered it to be my home away from home! Since new, this 2002 Ford E-250 was professionally converted into a fully equipped campervan by Pleasure-way Industries located in Saskatoon, Canada. Now known as a Ford Traverse, the vehicle is hard to find because only a few were made. Making it even more valuable is the fact that this campervan is in excellent condition with only 37k original miles. Because this campervan was modeled after a VW EuroVan/Vanagon/Bus, it has all the same design features you would expect, plus more. Built-in features include: a two-burner propane stove, Norcold refrigerator, and a stainless-steel sink with an electric faucet. Additional kitchen features include an insta-hot water dispenser and a microwave. The campervan can comfortably accommodate sleeping up to four people. The rear bench seat easily folds down into a bed for two and the top pops up which can sleep two more people or allow for an ample amount of head space while cooking in the kitchen. The canvas on the pop top is in excellent condition and has a clear viewing window in the front, plus two side screened windows that can be unzipped for ventilation. The front passenger seat swivels around 180 degrees which is nice for dining or playing cards on the quick assembly table which conveniently stows behind the driver’s seat. The interior is flawless! Aside from a few minor dings and slight pealing of the side decals that is typical for a vehicle of this age, the exterior is in great shape and is 100% rust free. What makes this vehicle superior over the VW campers is not only the powerful Triton V8 5.4L engine and smooth shifting automatic transmission, but its reliability. I am speaking from experience since I have owned many VW campers (EuroVans, Vanagons and Buses) over the years. With the Ford Traverse, you can truly enjoy a vacation without fear of it breaking down. Other features include a built-in thermostat controlled auxiliary heater, cold blowing air conditioner, remote door locks, power windows and mirrors, cruise control, high quality CD stereo and an LED indicator to monitor water, propane and the auxiliary battery power levels. Another great feature about the camper is the ample amount of storage space which also has a hanging coat closet. I am including a port-o-potty for the bathroom. Also included is a new ice chest, a portable shower tent with a four-gallon solar heated shower bag, and two new folding chairs, all of which compactly fit into the rear storage area behind the rear bench seat. Lastly, I am including the Thule bike rack with a built-in locking device to secure four bicycles. The bike rack is a sway bar design that allows you to open the rear doors of the van without having to remove the bikes.
