I never saw any use for it, as the roof A/C works when you plug in and Winnebago added extra air conditioning vents behind the cab that run off the factory air conditioning, which keeps the vehicle very cool. Just run the engine instead of the generator (and the engine is quieter than the generator). Everything else works off the inverter, including the microwave. .ONCE MORE THIS RV.HAS NO FACTORY GENERTOR. .A PORTABLE HONDA SUPER QUIET generator will work great if your a hard-core desert rat. middle of nowhere lone ranger! !
