This 2001 Sterling M8500 Acterra Dump Truck is owned by a family member and just retired. The truck was used for a construction owned company, which the owner personally operated for work. Original owner, non smoker, great running condition on a well maintained, low mileage 230 HP 3126 Caterpillar Diesel Engine with a 6 speed automatic Allison MD3060 Transmission with less than 88k miles on it. Nicely equipped with power steering, power windows, engine cut-off switch, engine block heater, Heavy Duty tow hitch with front & rear tow hooks, (1) storage/toolbox, (2) 45 gallon fuel tanks with locking caps and air conditioning. The rear bed has both left and right side drop downs with a swing out tail gate and a manual roll tarp cover. The rear is an iron rear axle with 4:56 gears with anti-lock air brakes and front drums.
