Vehicle description
Hello and thanks for looking at this beautiful 2001 Peterbilt 379. I"m relisting this due to a non paying bidder. Please be sure to make financial arrangements before bidding.
This is a very well cared for truck which was owned and driven since new by a non-smoking husband and wife cross country driving team, up until 5 years ago when I purchased it. I have put only around 1,500 miles on since I"ve owned it. The only reason that I"m selling it is that I now have a 53" specialty trailer and this combination is too long for me to navigate into the tight spaces that I need to setup my attraction in.
Since I"ve owned it, I"ve replaced all brakes, new radiator, new batteries, exhaust pipes, and a new steering box. The entire front steering and suspension system was rebuilt as well as the engines lower by the original owner. The upper was not rebuilt. The previous owners told me that the reason this wasn"t done was that the oil analysis and compression testing did not indicate the need to. The reason they explained to me was that they never idled the engine, all heating, AC, or power for the fridge,TV, water heater, microwave and stove was furnished by the onboard 7K Watt diesel generator. The engine is very strong with no fluid leaks or smoke.
Please ask any questions before bidding.
