Vehicle description
I bought this car last summer with the intention of stripping it, caging it, and swapping in a Chevy Ecotec motor. Since then I"ve changed my plans. I bought a good running car with high miles and have stripped the interior and installed some Meghan Racing adjustable coilovers. That"s about where it"s at. I have pretty much everything necessary to return it to stock with only a few exceptions (speakers, seats, a few trim pieces). I"ll give you the good and bad.
The good:
1.8 liter VVT engine
6 Speed transmission
Torsen limited slip rear end
$900 adjustable coil over Meghan racing shocks
Solid rust free body
Solid undercarriage
Better NB brakes and suspension (opposed to NA)
Hard top ($900-$1200)
Desirable tan interior
Good tires
Runs great
Drives great
Everything works
Clean clear title
The bad:
260,000 miles
Various minor dings and scratches
No interior currently installed (I do have a seat sitting in there so I can still drive it)
I drove the car home from Madison, WI. It drove great and I actually ran it up to 110 mph for a bit. The interior, engine, transmission, and rear differential are all valuable because they can be swapped into the NA ("89-"97) easily. The car can probably be parted out and exceed my asking price.
