Vehicle description
Relisted Due to bidder issue. If you have zero feedback, please don"t bid. 2001 Gillig PHANTOM. I purchased this from the person that purchased it from Ohio State, in hopes of converting it myself. I still might convert it. This is a great reliable vehicle. Does have a small oil leak. If it was to drive from the East Coast to the West Coast it may lose a gallon of oil. Which is somewhat normal for these older diesel motors. I removed all of the coolant lines that heated the flooring element, and the heaters throughout the bus. As the HVAC system in these buses is super inefficient you have to run the diesel in order to run the HVAC. I was going to install a roof unit or a mini split unit which would be much more efficient. Tires are fine, no dry rot plenty of tread. I wouldn’t hesitate to drive this to California from Indiana. I do have a propane oven and double sink that can come with. Could use engine service,(oil change) it doesn"t NEED it. I could do it, (Customer must pay) I work pretty much 12 hours/ 5 days week. So my loss your gain. Feel free to ask questions. I went and switched the main switch on the power yesterday and it fired right up, without a battery tender in this cold. SOLID. Frame does have some surface rust.
