Vehicle description

We have two identical Gillig Phantoms for sale. These are sister buses. .with sequential serial numbers. The buyer can have their choice of either, for $8000 each. Honestly, they are hard to tell apart. These are 35-foot buses with front and mid side doors. The wheelchair lift is stealthily hidden under the front stairs and you"d never know it"s there, if you don"t need it.
We purchased both of these from a government transit authority, where they were well maintained. As we do with any bus we purchase, we drive them and make sure everything works and appears to be reliable. We"ve put a few thousand miles on each bus and, in fact, I just drove one from Arizona to Oregon and back. These are super comfortable to drive and cruise nicely at 65 on the highway.
We stripped out the seats and hand rails, making them ready for your conversion plans. The Gillig Phantom makes an ideal platform for an RV, Motorhome, or Skoolie conversion. The ceiling is high. .about 6"5". .and relatively flat. There are wheel well humps, but the main floor is all one level. .not stepped like the low-floor models. And, the hidden wheelchair lift makes this a great conversion candidate for those who need an accessible RV.
The windshields, windows, glass, tires, body, and floor are all in great shape. The engines and transmissions function well. These are used vehicles and sold as is. .but I wouldn"t hesitate to drive either one anywhere. And, we will gladly deliver your bus to you for a mileage fee and return travel.
These buses have Detroit Series 50 diesel engines and they are very quiet. And, they do not need DEF and don"t have DPF systems. The automatic transmission is the sturdy MD3060 with 5 speeds enabled. These buses have air brakes AND automatic retarders! With approximately 300,000 miles each, and an engine rebuild about 120,000 miles ago, these well-built buses should outlast any of us. Gillig builds buses with lots of aluminum and stainless steel, so you"ve got no worries about having rust issues. And, of course, these have both heat and air conditioning so you"ll be comfortable on the road.
Before the buyer picks up their new-to-them bus, we"ll do a fresh oil change and change the oil and fuel filters. We"ll also install two new Group 31 Napa batteries, to give you a fresh start - see what I did there? :-) Actually, since these buses have reliable air starters there"s very little load on the batteries. .but we want to make sure you"ve got new batteries. We also have full service and parts manuals, specific to these buses, which the buyer will get on a flash drive.
But wait. .there"s more! But only if you want:
If this is the right bus for you, but you don"t yet have a place for it. .no worries. We"ll store the bus for 30 days at no cost. After that, we can store it in our storage lot for $75/month, for as long as you need.
Don"t know how to drive a bus? It"s super easy and I"ll gladly train you. As a licensed commercial bus operator, and trainer, I can help get you comfortable quickly.
As a well-known customizer of buses, we can offer additional services if you purchase one of these buses. Solar, electrical, plumbing, and more. We"re happy to add or modify what you want. .but there"s no obligation here. Just consider it an added bonus option!
