Let me start by saying that it should go without saying but please only bid if you have funds ready. Twice now I"ve had to re-list due to buyers disappearing after the auction"s end.
2001 HMMWV 1045A2 Slantback with a 6.5 liter diesel with 4 speed trans. Supplemental armor doors and new CARC paint with stencils redone to match USMC. New brakes/rotors. Backup camera added, seats recovered to match the original, whip antenna, deep water kit and more. Batteries are approx 3 years old, glow plugs were replaced, new rotors and pads and engine oil was serviced. Tires still have run flat inserts in them. Ready for the apocalypse or a car show or anything in between. Registered and titled (which is a big deal) in Oregon. Starts, runs, drives, brakes as it should. No air conditioning but you can source parts readily.
Mileage shows under 800. I bought it with approximately 600. The military puts new odometers in these after they have been refreshed. This is an especially low mileage example and although I"m sure it"s seen military duty it is not thrashed like many you see from the auctions. My primary intent was to restore it cosmetically. If you wanted to go further the old headliner residue needs some elbow grease to remove and you could of course source a .50 Cal turret kit for the roof if you are so inclined.
Getting the paperwork from the government took over 6 months and it is no simple task to get a vehicle like this titled for the first time. As you can see in the photos, I have a clean Oregon title and standard Oregon license plates. Please do your homework to ensure that you can register the vehicle in your State as well prior to bidding. I can keep the vehicle on my property for up to 3 weeks after the auctions end providing full payment has been made within 1 week of auctions end.
