Swarthout Coaches has proudly served the Southern Tier and Central regions of New York State for the past 70 years. We have developed a strong reputation as a safe operator that provides a high level of hospitality for our customers; so when our vehicles are put up for sale, you can rest assured that you are getting a coach that has been fleet maintained, inspected by our professional maintenance team every 2500 miles and has been successfully enrolled in the NYS Bus Inspection program (NYS inspects our coaches every six months).
We are putting this coach up for sale as we are prepping for the arrival of its replacement.
This coach is a 2000 MCI 102DL3. It seats 55 and is powered by the ever faithful Detroit/Allison powertrain. We purchased her from MCI in 2007 and she comes from a reputable mid-Atlantic operator that is in business for the past 35 years. We do not have the coach"s origination records but do have all of the maintenance records since entering our fleet.
Sadly, as with virtually our entire industry - this coach has not been in revenue service since March 2020. We have continued to maintain her and have cycled it weekly (driven 10-15 miles each week).If you are looking to add a well maintained coach that is reasonably priced; or are looking to get into the business with a modest investment, this very well may be the coach that you need!
Please note because they are used, they are being sold "as is/where is" with no warranty. Since we lease our tires, buyer will be responsible for the final payoff.
