VIN 1HVBBABN9YH288092
Bus Condition: This bus was retired by a one owner central Arkansas school district in March. It had been sitting for a few years at least but I was able to get it started with a new battery and a little starting fluid. It is a 66 passenger. I was able to drive the bus home for 110 miles with no problems. It will top out around 65mph. The cruise control is a nice convenience. It has Michelin front tires with original tread and the rear tires are Michelin and Goodyear retreads. The exact mileage is not known cause the original instrument panel was replaced and no one recorded the original miles. Currently it shows 44,5XX.
The bus is cold natured as I was told by the school. If the temperature is around 65 or below the bus will need to run between 15 to 30 minutes before it will take off with full power. It may occasionally need a spray of starter fluid to get going in the cooler weather and the Check Engine Light may come on but usually goes off once it is idling smoother. If it is 70 or above the engine will only need to run maybe 5 to 10 minutes. Once the engine is warm it will start with no problem.
