Up for auction today is a 2000 GMC T6500 flatbed that I have owned for over 5 years. It has been used on my farm to move rolls of hay but I"ve bought a newer, smaller truck and this one hasn"t been used for awhile. It has set under a hay barn without being cranked for 3 months or so and as soon as I turned the key, it cranked right up and had no issues. It has a Cat 3126 motor rated around 200hp. Within the last year I"ve replaced all 6 injectors as well as installed a new radiator. The motor cranks easily and in cold weather the intake heater works so it cranks on the coldest days without any problem. It has an Allison automatic transmission that shifts perfect and I"ve never had any issues with it. It also has a block heater installed. This truck drives as easy as a pickup, rides quite well for such a heavy duty truck and it"ll turn on a dime. The A/C blows cold and the heater/defroster and all controls work as they should. It has a tilt wheel, air-ride driver"s seat, power passenger window and heated mirrors. The tires are in good shape with virgin rubber on the fronts. It has dual fuel tanks and a huge aluminum underbody tool box. The 20" bed has cargo winches installed and it has a gooseneck hitch as well as a receiver hitch on the rear. All trailer plugs work as well as all the lights and it also has an electric brake controller. To the best of my knowledge, this truck doesn"t need anything to be ready for work. I wouldn"t be scared to drive it anywhere. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
