Vehicle description
2000 17 foot Casita Spirit Deluxe. Kentucky Rebuilt Title, It was in a Flood to the Best of my Knowledge. I bought it as a project without knowing it had a Rebuilt Title and a Month Later when the title came in it had rebuilt on it. I fixed it 3.5 years ago and have logged 1000"s of miles in it without any problems. I will list everything I have done to the camper. When I bought the camper it was missing the water heater, factory seating cushions, and lower cabinet doors and bathroom door. I replaced all the doors with factory OEM matching Casita wood. Replaced the entire floor with 1/2 plywood and factory linoleum. Replaced the Cushions with never Factory Casita Cushions from a newer model. I replaced the entire electrical fuse panel convertor with a totally new unit. Replaced the water heater with a complete new electric spark ignition unit (just flip a switch to turn on no lightning with a match), Removed the fresh water holding tanks and cleaned and sanitized them and replaced the water pump check valves and lines. Added winterizing valves. I replaced all the exterior storage hatch compartments due to age and weathering. I rebuilt the porcelain toilet because the foot flush valve was leaking. Replaced both faucets and shower head due to age. Upgraded the shower drain to a Hepvo valve to eliminate a pea trap and Factory Casita dump valve issues. Upgraded all exterior taillights and marker lights to the newer LED factory Casita ones for safety and looks. I replaced the fresh water and black water valves due to age. replaced the propane regulator and lines due to age. Replaced the exterior Propane tank cover due to age. New tires, spare rim and tire and greased the bearings. Ice Cold A/C with freeze you. Fridge works on electric but I"ve never lit it on propane. Stove works also. All lights work. Camper has no stains or smells of any kind. No sagging or damage to the interior carpet and it"s all factory stock. Has a crack in the fiberglass lower right corner as pictured. It was that way when I got it. It doesn"t leak and can be easily repaired. Our family has simply outgrown this camper. We have a 13 year and a 7 year old and it just won"t sleep us all. I purchased a new Jayco Bunkhouse model to replace it and just don"t need 2 campers. The Casita has always been stored in my carport. I just returned from a 400 mile Solo trip in it this weekend thru 3 states. It pulls amazing. Weighs 2500lbs. Ebay only lets me use 12 pictures. I have 75+ good pictures taken of it I can email anyone interested. Please email me with any questions I"m sure I forgot something. These are great little campers. They have a 6 month waiting list to purchase a new one and a new one is $22,000+ and they are identical to this 2000 model they haven"t changed them. Thanks
